The Workshop for Leadership and Management Development in Asian Countries was held at GRIPS

The Workshop for Leadership and Management Development in Asian Countries was held at GRIPS from 19th to 21st June 2013 for three days. The workshop was jointly organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with cooperation of Hitotsubashi University as kick off of the two-year Asian Leadership and Management Research Project.

A total of 21 participants from five ASEAN countries including Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam attended the workshop to discuss the detailed research plan such as contents, framework, and methodology in order to share the common understanding among the participating countries for the Project.

GRIPS President Takashi Shiraishi and JICA Senior Vice President Hideaki Domichi delivered the welcome remarks at the outset of the workshop.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Professor Emeritus Ikujiro Nonaka of Hitotsubashi University gave a key lecture on knowledge-based theory on the first day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the Day 2 and 3, Professor Kazuo Ichijo and Visiting Lecturer Hideki Kawada of the Graduate school of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi University gave presentations, and facilitated the active discussion among the participants to formulate each country’s basic research framework and methodology.
