Seminar held in China’s Central Party School

GRIPS has promoted a faculty exchange between GRIPS and China’s Central Party School (CCPS) in accordance with a memorandum of understanding (MOU) since 2005.
As one of these exchange projects, GRIPS held a seminar for faculty of China’s Central Party School in China, entitled “The challenges faced by the Japanese economy and the future relationship between Japan and China.”

The keynote presentation was given by Prof. Hiroko Ota. After that, Prof. Ma Xiao Jun of The Institute for International Strategic Studies of CCPS and the President of GRIPS, Takashi Shiraishi made comments, and many points were discussed, such as FTA in Japan, China and Korea; the measures that should be taken to address an aging society; and energy policy.
After the seminar, President Shiraishi and Vice President of China’s Central Party School Chen Baosheng agreed that the collaborative relationship should be reinforced, and they renewed the MOU.
