In response to the request from Financial and Development Supervisory Board (BPKP), Republic of Indonesia, GRIPS conducted a five-day training program on “Good Governance, Policy Evaluation and Auditing” for 24 officials of BPKP from December 4th to December 8th, 2017.　

During the program, the participants attended lectures given by the program director, Associate Professor Yasuyuki Watanabe, as well as Senior Professor Masahiro Horie, and Professor Hirofumi Takada.  The participants deepened their understanding about Japanese Governmental System, Administrative System, Governance and Internal Auditing, through a series of lectures.  They also visited the Board of Audit in Tokyo, Hamamatsu City Office, and Shizuoka City Office in Shizuoka Prefecture and learned about Auditing, Internal Controls, and Public Accounting.  The Participants were eagerly listening to the briefings and actively got involved in the Q&A sessions.

On the last day, GRIPS invited four Certified Public Accountants etc… from Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC, as guest lecturers. The participants divided in to four groups and had intensive workshop on the differences between Japanese and Indonesian Governance system in terms of Auditing and Internal controls. Guest lecturers got involved and commented on each presentation.

The program was completed and each participants received a certificate of completion at the closing ceremony.
