On the 29th of July 2016, GRIPS conducted a lecture through our distance learning system.

It was provided for local government officials who were participating the Training Program of the King Prajadhipok’s Institute (KPI) in Thailand.

Participants attended the lecture entitled “Local Government Merger and Collaboration: Japanese Experience” given by Prof.Kiyotaka Yokomichi, Vice-president of GRIPS.

He talked about Japanese policy such as “Heisei Great Merger” and  introduced some examples of mergers as well as collaboration systems. During Q&A session, he discussed on Japanese experience with Thai participants.
