GRIPS Culture Day was held in Sokairo Hall

On Sunday June 24th, the 2nd Annual GRIPS Culture Day was hosted by the GRIPS Student Council. The Culture Day started with the workshops in the morning and continued to the performance time in the afternoon.

In the workshops, we had Calligraphy, Tea Ceremony, Flower Arrangement, and Traditional Games from Japanese students. We also had Thai calligraphy and Indonesian Angklung workshops.

In the afternoon, we had 13 performances from 9 representing countries. There were dances as well as songs from Japan, Bhutan, Argentina, Ethiopia, Thai, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Pakistan, and Philippines. It was finished off with an amazing fashion show with the students from 17 countries in their traditional costumes.

Our deep gratitude goes to the helpers from outside the school including: Minato International Association, Kanagawa Freai Igo Network, Chikatsu Koryu (Ikebana), Mr. Masakazu Tomi, and Dream Yosakoi Teams.
