Current Research Interests Recent research interests include (1) Japan's governance structure with a focus on political parties and bureaucracy, (2) policy research methodologies with a focus on policy processes, (3) disaster recovery policies, (4) research on the ability to respond to new policy issues; and (5) collection and preservation of basic data such as oral history.
