At GRIPS Forum on May 30, 2022, Mr. Taejun Shin, Founder & CEO, Gojo & Company, gave a lecture titled “Why microfinance? Gojo’s challenge to extend financial inclusion across the globe”.

Abstract:

Taejun Shin, founder and CEO of Gojo & Company, will share his story of why he decided to devote his life to financial inclusion. He will speak about the latest global microfinance trend, and how microfinance helps people determine their own future.  You will learn how Gojo & Company is trying to achieve its mission of extending financial inclusion across the globe through technology, capital and managerial support of group companies.

Speaker’s Profile:

Taejun cofounded Gojo in 2014 and has led the company’s growth until today as the CEO. Before Gojo, Taejun worked at Morgan Stanley and Unison Capital as an investment professional. While working in the sector, Taejun founded Living in Peace, an NGO, in 2007, and created the first microfinance investment fund in Japan’s history. Taejun is the Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and is the youngest founding board member of Endeavor Japan.
