Educational Background
Graduated from the Faculty of Law(1991), the University of Tokyo;
 LL.M.(1997), Duke University;
 LL.M.(1998), the University of Chicago.

Professional Career
Joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (currently the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) in 1991. Served in positions including Director, International Affairs Office for Security Export Control; Director, Manufacturing Policy Planning Office; Director, Lifestyle and Culture Creation Industries Division; Director, Small Business Support Division at the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency; and Director-General for Examination at the Japan Patent Office. From 2022, served as Vice Governor of Ishikawa Prefecture. After returning to METI in 2024 as Director-General for Policy Planning and Coordination, Ministry’s Secretariat, assumed the current position in July 2025.
