International Workshop and 12th GRIPS International Conference of Macroeconomics and Policy

The workshops and the conferences of Macroeconomics and Policy have been very successful for 11 years. In last fiscal year, the 11th International Conference of Macroeconomics and Policy was held on Nov 1-2, 2018, which marked the 1st year of our academic corporation with University of Tokyo. We have successfully invited many world famous researchers to the conference. The conference has built up its reputation and promoted GRIPS’ recognition at both domestic and international levels. It is one of the very few successful international academic conferences on macroeconomics and related public policy in Japan, and becomes well known by researchers in the field. In addition, we have successfully launched the 1st joint international workshop between National Taiwan University (NTU) and GRIPS in Taipei on Feb 19, 2019, where NTU was the host. And we have a tentative agreement with the workshop organizers at NTU to continue the 2nd GRIPS-NTU workshop in the next year.

In this fiscal year, we also plan to explore additional international cooperation with other leading institutes in Asia.

  1. Encourage research cooperation with researchers in related fields.
  2. Learn successful experiences from world leading researchers in the fields.
  3. Promote GRIPS to the world and create international cooperation opportunities.
