The Maritime Safety and Security Policy Program (MSP), a collaborative program designed and administered by GRIPS and the Japan Coast Guard, held its 10th Anniversary Seminar from August 26 to 28, 2025. In attendance were over 200 participants from 12 countries, including program graduates and maritime security agency officials from the graduates’ home countries.

The seminar began with a commemorative session titled, “Maritime Law Enforcement and International Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific Region,” followed by breakout sessions the next day. Participants reflected on the program's past achievements and engaged in in-depth discussions on the direction of the program over the next decade. Key topics included maritime law enforcement and security, marine technology, and advancing cooperation among Indo-Pacific nations.
