The Japanese Speech Event, hosted by CPC Japanese Language Learning, was held on Thursday, August 1.
Each year, international students who study Japanese at GRIPS have taken part in this speech event as the final stage of their year-long commitment to Japanese language learning.
At the event, each speaker delivers a heartwarming speech in Japanese in front of a friendly GRIPS audience to demonstrate their accomplishments and share new ideas.
This year, we had 15 speakers in total, together with a large, diverse audience consisting of international and domestic students, GRIPS faculty and staff, and family members.
The speech covered a wide range of topics such as memorable trips in Japan, cultural practices in Japan and in students’ home countries, and even policy issues, all of which were received by the audience with great admiration and praise.
In recognition of their achievements, the speakers were awarded with GRIPS original furoshiki and a certificate of participation from CPC.
The speech event served as a demonstration of how Japanese language learning can contribute to a deeper understanding of Japan and its people.
