Joint Symposium by British Embassy Tokyo & GRIPS “Science Advice in a Crisis: Fukushima and its Aftermath”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A joint symposium by the British Embassy in Tokyo & GRIPS called “Science Advice in a Crisis: Fukushima and its Aftermath” was held at GRIPS on May 30.
About 300people attended the symposium. It was broadcast live online via Ustream, and participants took questions via Twitter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Purpose

To provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges involved in providing quick and accurate advice to political decision-makers in an uncertain and fast-moving environment and communicating complex risks to the public.
