FPCI-GRIPS Virtual Forum: A Disrupted World Trade Order
The global trade order is facing growing instability due to rising economic nationalism, unilateral tariffs, and increasing doubts about the WTO’s effectiveness. Recent U.S. tariffs on key ASEAN economies have led to slower growth and heightened uncertainty. As countries navigate great power rivalries and reassess market dependencies, regional frameworks like RCEP and CPTPP offer paths to resilience. Co-hosted by FPCI and GRIPS, this forum will bring together four ASEAN and Japanese experts to discuss how the region can respond and uphold a rules-based economic order.
The public forum has now concluded.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined and viewed the event.
A recording of the forum is available on GRIPS You Tube channel.
