1953年東京大学理学部数学科卒、66年慶応義塾大学理工学部助教授、77年埼玉大学大学院政策科学研究科教授、97年本学教授、2005年本学アカデミックフェロー、客員教授、2008年本学名誉教授(現在に至る)。(社)日本オペレーションズ・リサーチ学会名誉会員。
