(1)　TEST CONSTRUCTION

• Constructed and piloted 14 new tests: Phonological Awareness Battery (5 subtests), Verbal Working Memory (2 subtests), Basic Reading Skills (2 subtests), Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension, Verbal Ability, Rapid Automatized Naming (2 subtests). The tests are designed to measure various linguistic and psycholinguistic abilities of Russian elementary school children.
• Modified and adapted the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test, Second Edition, for use with Russian elementary school children.

(2)　DATA COLLECTION FOR A CITY-WIDE PROJECT

• Collected data on cognitive, perceptual, and linguistic abilities and disabilities of a sample of Russian elementary school children (3 schools in the Moscow area). The project was approved by the Board of Education, Moscow, Russia.
