The GRIPS Library is going to hold GRIPS Discovery Service & EBSCOhost Databases Training Session in JAPANESE on Wednesday, 17 June 2020, with a guest instructor from the database provider EBSCO International Inc.

  • Advance registration is not required.
  • Click the link provided in the e-mail on the day to join, and choose the desktop application or the browser version.
  • When you use the browser version, Edge and Google Chrome are available.

Note for participants

Before joining the session, please make sure that you can access the following databases with your PC from outside GRIPS. If you have any problems, please let us know.

Log in with your GRIPS ID and password on the EZproxy Login page, and you will jump to the EZproxy service menu page.
Click the following databases on the menu page, and you’ll see search page of each database.

GRIPS Discovery Service

GRIPS Discovery Service is a document search tool that can help you search GRIPS subscription e-journals, e-books, databases and online open access academic resources all at one time. Some of the search results provide full-text links.

E-Journal/E-Book search

You can search GRIPS subscription e-journals and e-books by title via “E-journals / E-books search”.

EBSCOhost

EBSCOhost Databases are very useful databases to search for various kinds of materials such as journal articles, abstracts, book reviews and e-books and allows you to search several databases in a single interface.

  • Academic Search Premier : a multidisciplinary database
  • Econlit : economics-specialized database
  • eBook Collection : provides full texts of electronic books
