1) Science advisory in response to crisis and/or emergency, and the role of the National Academies

2) Details of NAS study process, by taking the example of “Lessons learned from Fukushima” study project (Nomination process and selection criteria for board members; qualification and requirement of candidates; management of the study process; quality control of the report (e.g. review process); and communication with media, government, congress, interest groups and the public.)
