Webinar cohosted by GRIPS and Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI): “Towards the Stability of International Order and Promotion of International Cooperation in the Post-Pandemic Indo-Pacific.”

GRIPS and FPCI co-hosted a webinar on Japanese foreign policy on December 2, 2021 with the generous support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

 

Professor Kunihiko Shinoda of GRIPS gave a lecture entitled, “Towards the Stability of International Order and Promotion of International Cooperation in the Post-Pandemic Indo-Pacific”, in which he discussed Japan’s approach to a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)” and its importance, and future prospects of Indo-Pacific cooperation after COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar, which attracted about 50 participants, was moderated by Dr. Muhammad Yusra, Director of Andalas Institute of International Studies and Regional Coordinator for Sumatera, Indonesian Association of International Relations (AIHII).

 

During the discussion session, participants raised various questions about issues related to Japan’s strategy towards the stability in Asia and Japan-Indonesia relations.
