Seminar for International Students “Water Environment and Earth 2023”

Association for Planning and Transportation Studies is pleased to announce the International Student Seminar "Water Environment and Earth 2023," jointly sponsored by and National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), in cooperation with KANSEI Co., METAWATER Co., Ltd., Nippon Koei Co., Ltd., and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. This seminar aims to help students understand how Japan has promoted the basics of water management, i.e., flood control, water utilization, and water environment, through on-site explanations. In detail, we are planning to show you disaster prevention through dams and retarding reservoirs, water utilizations through advanced water purification facilities, and environmental management through wastewater treatment. This seminar started in 2014 and will be continuously held once in three years. Themes of the previous seminars were "Shinkansen", "urban railway and urban development", "highway and car", and “Underground Space Supporting Mega Cities”. We look forward to receiving your applications.
