The CAMPUS Asia One-day Seminar was held at Tsinghua University (Beijing) on March 28, 2012.
Professor Wang of Tsinghua University, an authority on Chinese NGO research, gave a lecture entitled “The Development of China’s NGOs and the research of the NGO Institution,” which discussed the development and current conditions of Chinese NGOs. GRIPS’ students listened to the lecture with great interest and raised many questions during the Q&A session.

Also, Assistant Professor Xing of Tsinghua University gave a lecture on Chinese government affairs and a Five-year Plan, under the theme of “Public Policy Formulation Process in China: 12th Five-year Plan as an Example.” Since most of GRIPS’ students were not familiar with politics in China, the students gained considerable knowledge and discussed differences in the decision-making processes of Japan and China.

In addition,Mr. Kyun Heo, who is the first CAMPUS Asia student dispatched from KDI School (Seoul, Korea) to Tsinghua University, and other Tsinghua students joined a Campus tour and introduced life in Tsinghua. Students developed and deepened friendships with each other.
