The 162nd GRIPS Forum “Things to do to mitigate/prevent flood and sediment-related disasters”

At the 162nd GRIPS Forum on 21 January, 2019,  Prof. Takahisa Mizuyama, Professor (special assignment), National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), gave a lecture titled “Things to Do to mitigate/prevent flood and sediment-related disasters”.

abstract:

Over recent years, serious flooding and landslides have occurred on an annual basis. Instead of explaining the specifics of these natural disasters, here we will  set forth and discuss hard and soft countermeasures and issues requiring research that have become apparent in light of such disasters in order to prevent them or reduce the damage they cause.
