- Aim of Symposium
In Japan, in order to respond to huge disaster, such as the capital Earthquake and Nankai-Torafu-earthquake, we have been required to promote and reinforce policy research in various fields based on the lessons of the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. We are going to hold a symposium “Policy Studies on Huge Disaster” by inviting the professionals and practitioners involved in crisis management area in Japan. It is intended to contribute to the development of policy research related to disaster prevention and crisis management by sharing, enhancing and reinforcing information both in Japan and abroad.
