A new book “Breakthrough: The Promise of Frontier Technologies for Sustainable Development” co-edited by Professor Izumi Ohno has been published.

“Breakthrough” (co-edited by Homi Kharas, John McArther & Izumi Ohno) published from the Brookings, is the result of joint research between the Brookings Institution and the JICA Ogata Research Institute. The book focuses on breakthrough technologies that have potential soon to affect the human condition at a substantial scale, with special emphasis on the economic, social, and environmental challenge affecting the world’s poorest people. It is built on our earlier book “Leave No One Behind” (2019).
