The Frontier of new Cultural Policy Studies: the project of cooperation between cultural resources and urban policy and cultural industry.

In the 21st century, culture and arts are vital resources in our society, and that they are relevant to the economy.

Concerning the Cultural Policy Studies, it is required to investigate issues such as the promoting culture and preserving cultural property. That is for the creation and development of a better and more attractive society.

The Cultural Policy Program conducted Research Projects from 2008 to conduct quantitative / qualitative research at the international level with external funds. The research results are announced at some international conferences and also printed in English publications.

The Project aims to consider cooperation between cultural resources and urban policy and cultural industries. The fields like them are newer ones in Creative City Studies and therefore a suitable method has not been established yet. This project aims to develop a brand new method combined with existing studies in order to promote and offer it to the global community.

The research, in collaboration with foreign researchers, has moved forward with the accumulated results from our Creative City Studies by last year. Though the Cultural Tourism Studies and the Cultural Industry Studies were limited to a basic study, this Project will establish new logics and models from some points of view and combine comprehensive and effective policy plan.

The research results of this project will be applied to the Cultural Policy Program.
