In October 2025, the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) hosted an officer from the National Development Council (NDC) of Taiwan for a one-month training program in response to a request from the NDC.

The trainee researched foreign talent recruitment and retention, referencing Japan's approaches under the guidance of Professor Hirofumi Takada, Vice-President of GRIPS and compiled her findings into a research paper. The program concluded with a final presentation and the award of the certificate of completion on the last day.
