Abstract:
Due to its critical importance, the field of security has recently seen rapid systematization of the skills and knowledge required for workforce development. This presentation will focus specifically on the body of knowledge essential for personnel within governmental organizations. Furthermore, it will introduce the workforce development initiatives for governmental bodies promoted by the speaker's institution, the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT). The presentation will also discuss the current status and realities of security personnel within these governmental organizations, based on insights gained through these programs.

Speaker: Dr. Masashi Eto (Director General, National Cyber Observation Center (NCO), Cybersecurity Research Institute, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT))

Speakers’ Profile:
Joined the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in 2005. Has since been at the forefront of research and development in cybersecurity technologies, focusing on areas such as the NICTER project, IPv6, ITS, and IoT. His work has extended to international standardization, development of cybersecurity workforce, and policy formulation to foster innovation in the field.
