As part of the " The Significance of Missile Defense for American Allies " project, the Iwama Laboratory at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) will host a special seminar featuring guest speakers from abroad. The ongoing wars and instability in Ukraine and the Middle East are prompting renewed reflection on traditional concepts of deterrence and defense.
 In this seminar, four distinguished speakers will offer their insights into the evolving perspectives on deterrence and defense in various Western countries. The session will include commentary from discussants, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
