The workshops and the conference are designed to bring together leading economists specializing in macroeconomics and policy related fields.
We plan to focus on 3 main themes during the workshops and conference this year. The first is the social insurance system responding government policies. The second theme is put on Tax Systems and Labor Markets.
The third is on effects of demographic changes on economic growth, for example, changes in population growth and age structure. Those demographic changes will affect many economic behaviors and so lead to important economic and social changes.
We plan to invite researchers who are professional in these fields to present their works, share their experience and exchange research ideas. This will benefit our research, and will also help to build future cooperation between GRIPS and other institutes in Japan and overseas.
