The Public Economics seminar plans to hold a series of approximately 8 seminars during April 2015-March 2016. One objective is to increase GRIPS’ international recognition as an active research institution. The targeted speakers are well-known researchers from outside Japan. The topics covered in this seminar series will be related to public policies in both Japan and other foreign countries. The seminars also contribute toward the research collaboration and the network expansion among participants, consequently benefiting not only GRIPS faculty but also researchers from other universities and institutions who are interested in public policies.
To outreach participants outside GRIPS, the seminar schedule will be posted in advance through a publically accessible website. The materials from the seminars will be archived in the website upon the permission of the speakers. Group email circulation will be used as another channel to pass on the seminar information.
