I am teaching economics of innovation, and experiences of East Asia on science, technology and innovation policy. My research is related to innovation systems and innovation policies in East Asia, especially ASEAN, Taiwan and Japan. I study the roles and capabilities of firms, government agencies, universities, public research institutes, financial institutes and innovation intermediaries in innovation systems of East Asian countries at national, regional and industrial sector levels. I also examine the impacts of institutions influencing innovations, namely, intellectual property rights, entrepreneurship, regulations and perception of policy makers, I engaged in research and consultancy for World Bank, UNESCO, ESCAP,UNCTAD, JICA, ADBI, EU Commission, ERIA, IDRC and government agencies/research organizations in Thailand and Japan.
