COVID-19 outbreak has affecting multiple aspects of our lives as globalization and world economy is heavily intertwined. All nations face potential risks of sudden regional geopolitical changes, military conflict, natural disaster, exposing to infectious diseases, or unintentional release or deliberate use of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear agents. However, we are not yet fully prepared to responding such threats, and it is critical to nurture potential global leaders in Japan as well as other Asian nations, who would understand the nature of threats and can build resilience and capability to deal with crisis situations. In addition to directly deal with crises, we all desire to discuss how society, economy, and politics will be changed. The goals of this Dialogue on health security and beyond for building resilient global community (“the project” here after) include 1) nurturing future leaders’ awareness to responding to such threats, 2) developing a major regional/international community hub for sharing best practices in unexpected health-related crises, and 3) harnessing alliance and long-term perspective for regional safety bringing multiple stakeholders. In this project, Global Health Innovation Policy Program will conduct online conferences up to total 32 hours, to discuss above agenda.
