Seminars on Macroeconomics and Policy

The seminars on Macroeconomics and Policies have been well established as a seminar series at GRIPS for almost 10 years. The seminars, which will be organized throughout the year, focus on specific macroeconomic-related topics; this allows more time for a clear presentation and a deep discussion. Seminar speakers are experts in related research fields. In the past years, some of them also developed joint research projects with our faculty during their visits. We find this arrangement really encourages more research cooperation and promotes research atmosphere at GRIPS. In addition, the seminar series is an important activity to maintain GRIPS’ reputation as a leading research institute and to promote collaboration among researchers.

We would like to continue the seminar series for the next year. And we will try harder to bring in more international researchers and outreach further to both internal and external potential participants with the following objectives.

  1. Stimulate research environments and discussions among GRIPS faculty/students and outside participants.
  2. Promote GRIPS’ recognition as a leading international research institutes.
  3. Extend our research collaboration with other research institutes in Japan.
