The proposed seminar series will emphasize on topics related to (i) fiscal sustainability in ageing economy, (ii) public welfare programs to reduce economic inequality and to increase opportunities of disadvantage groups, (iii) efficient labor market policies to promote sustainable economic growth, (iv) macroeconomic aspects of inequality and poverty, and (v) sources of economic inequality.

Each seminar will be 1.30hr to allow enough time for a clear presentation and an extensive discussion. All invited speakers are experts who actively work on the related topics. Over the past 5 years, I have been actively involved in organizing several seminars and workshops at GRIPS. I will use all my experiences and bring in new creativity to make this seminar series a forum for faculty and students at GRIPS to connect and exchange with external researchers. This will also help promote GRIPS’ reputation as a leading international research institute.
