Training Program for Officials of the Office of the Council of State(OCS) in June, 2018
GRIPS had a training program for 14 Officials from the Office of the Council of State (OCS) of the Royal Thai Government from June 4 to June 8, 2018.
In the program, participants attended a series of lectures given by Professor Emeritus Masahiro Horie (Director of Executive Development Center for Global Leadership), Professor Hirofumi Takada (GRIPS), Associate Professor Yasuyuki Watanabe (GRIPS), Chief Assistant Secretary-General Yutaka Wada (GRIPS ALLIANCE), Professor Susumu Kamimura (Nihon University), Director Kenji Kata (Office of Administrative Procedure of the Administrative Management Bureau), Assistant Director Yusuke Kato (Research and Planning Administrative Counseling Div./Policy Planning Div. of the Administrative Evaluation Bureau), Deputy Director Yoshio Takata (Personal Information Protection and Information Disclosure Division of the Administrative Management Bureau), Specialist officer Satomi Muto (Research and Planning Administrative Counseling Div./ Policy Planning Div. of the Administrative Evaluation Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications).
Through the lectures participants learned a wide range of subjects, including Basic Japanese Government and Administrative Systems and Organizations, Legal System and, Legislative Review, Local Government Administration and Local Governance, Good Governance (including Fair Treatment of Grievances and Complaints, Information Disclosure Laws, Administrative Inspection and Policy Evaluation), E-Government, Contracting and Procurement.
In the wrap-up session on the final day, Prof. Horie made a follow-up lecture and Q&A session was held. Many participants expressed their acknowledgement for ample content of the program. Finally, in concluding ceremony, certificate of completing the course was given to all participants.
