GRIPS had a four-day training program for 13 Officials of the Office of the Council of State (OCS) of the Royal Thai Government from September 6 to September 9, 2016.

During the program, the participants attended a series of lectures given by Senior Professor Masahiro Horie (Director of Executive Development Center for Global Leadership) and Mr. Naoyoshi Mitsubayashi, Deputy Director, Land Expropriation Office, General Affairs Division, Policy Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Through these lectures at GRIPS, participants learned about  leadership and management; management of government, systems and organizations, policy process, legal systems and legislative services in the government, good governance and administrative reform and trust in the Government, leadership development, conflict management, land expropriation act and related systems.

In the workshops, participants had discussion on the topics about leadership, conflict management, legal systems in Thailand and Japan, and others. It was a great opportunity to compare legislative systems, relevant organizations and their operation in two countries and consider their improvement.

On the last day, the wrap-up session was held by Prof. Horie. Thereafter the completion ceremony was held and each participant received a certificate.
