Joint Symposium “Lessons on the financial crisis; the case of Sweden” was held at GRIPS
A joint symposium with the Embassy of Sweden and EIJS on the topic “Lessons on the Financial Crisis: The Case of Sweden” was held at GRIPS. The invited panelists were Anders Borg (Minister for Finance, Sweden), Hiroko Ota (Professor, GRIPS), Kazuo Ueda (Professor, Graduate School of Economics, University of Tokyo), and the moderator was Sahoko Kaji (Professor, Faculty of Economics, Keio University).
Following keynote speeches by the panelists, a panel discussion was held on various topics such as the results of structural reforms in Sweden and the possibility and necessity of structural reforms in Japan. A lively Q & A discussion was held with questions from the floor.
