GRIPS welcomed H.E. Dr. Armida S. Alisjahbana, Minister of National Development Planning and Head of　National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS) of Indonesia, to deliver a lecture at a special symposium on the topic “Indonesia’s Economic Outlook”.

Minister Alisjahbana showed in details the current situation in Indonesia today with its steady, good Macroeconomic fundamentals, and followed on to describe Indonesia’s Long-term Development Plan 2005-2025, the opportunities, tasks and future challenges that lie ahead.

Her detailed and comprehensive report was highly praised by the participants as being extremely useful in getting the overall picture of where Indonesia stands at the moment, and where it is headed in the future.
