In response to a request by the King Prajadhipok Institute (KPI) in Thailand, GRIPS conducted a half-day training program on February 20, 2012 for high-ranking officials in the government and executives of private companies in Thailand.

The 39 trainees headed by Associate Professor Woothisarn Thanchai (Deputy Secretary General of KPI) visited GRIPS and attended a lecture by Professor Hiroko Ota, entitled, “Fiscal policy of Japan related to public debt and how to manage the debt”. The trainees asked questions, and many points were discussed.
