GRIPS held a 9day short training program entitled the “China Central Party School Short Program 2010” from November 29 to December 7 2010. The program was held in accordance with a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between GRIPS and China’s Central Party School. GRIPS welcomed 8 professors from the China Central Party School.

During the program, the participants attended lectures given by Professor Jun Iio (Vice President of GRIPS) and Prof. Mikitaka Masuyama. To deepen their knowledge of the present situation of the political party system in Japan and the role of Japanese politics, they went to the National Diet (House of Representatives), the Council for Science and Technology Policy (Courtesy call to Dr. Takashi Shiraishi), Liberal Democratic Party Headquarters, Democratic Party Headquarters, Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Hatoyama Hall. They also took part in a field trip to Oshino Village and Kyoto.

On the day before the field trip, a special seminar by Prof. Dai and Prof. Zhao from the CCPS was held at GRIPS. Associate Prof. Atsushi Sunami (GRIPS) served as the moderator.
