The Third GRIPS Forum held on “Local Governance in Japan: Perspectives from the Eight-year Experience as a Governor”
At a GRIPS Forum on June 23, 2008, Ms. Fusae Ota, Visiting Professor of GRIPS and former Governor of Osaka prefecture, gave a lecture titled “Local Governance in Japan: Perspectives from the Eight-year Experience as a Governor.” Ms. Ota presented her lessons and suggestions on more constructive central-local relations, based on her experiences as a governor.
The lecture was the third in a series of forums that feature leaders from government, academia, and business, as well as GRIPS’ own faculty, to discuss current policy concerns.
