“GRIPS- Mansfield Foundation Joint Seminar” was held on February 8th, 2008 with a theme on “Japan’s New Role in Asia: Crafting Credibility in Relations with China and ASEAN”.

GRIPS invited Mr. James L. Hathaway (Mansfield Fellow), Leadership Exchange Specialist of East Asia bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in U.S. Department of State as a speaker and Mr. Zhao Liqing, Professor of Institute of International Strategic Studies in Central Party School of China Communist Party as a panelist.
