GRIPS held the seminar of “Canada’s Diplomacy and Security Policy”
On December 11 2007, GRIPS held a seminar titled “Canada’s Diplomacy and Security Policy” with cooperation from the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo.
GRIPS invited as the speaker Mr. Graham Shantz, Director General of the Policy Planning Bureau at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, who gave the lecture on the fundamental principles and the present situation of Canada’s Diplomacy and Security Policy as well as the Canada-US relations over the Antiterrorism Law.
With Dr. Yoko Iwama, an Associate Professor of GRIPS serving as the discussant, the seminar generated lively discussion and a great deal of inspiration for the audience to bring home.
