Abstract

Energy situations are in the midst of a grand transformation that we only see almost every half a century: drastic fall in oil prices; turmoil in the Middle East; turning inward-focus in the United States; fully fledged efforts against global warming; rising concerns to nuclear safety; and so forth. These are common issues the world is facing, whether it is a developed or developing nation, Asia or not, an energy producing or consuming country. Collaboration in many aspects, directions and countries are desired now. Grand Transformation Time, indeed, is the time for great collaboration.
