 Abstract

Gifted with Mount Fuji, a world treasure, Shizuoka Prefecture has adopted a vision to build a wealthy and virtuous nation of Mount Fuji. Against the backdrop of an era where there are vast movements of people, goods, and information on a global scale, Shizuoka is building relationships directly with other countries and regions based on the spirit of friendship and mutual benefit. This lecture will discuss the value and importance of promoting regional diplomacy today despite Japan’s tense relations with other nation states.
