Symposium ”Start-up Nation — Toward a Nation Brightening with Innovation and Entrepreneurship”

●Overview

The Japanese economy has been showing signs of recovery. However, it is necessary for Japan to strengthen the policy for encouraging global innovation and fostering venture companies in order to survive in the global market undergoing rapid change. In this symposium, we invite Mr. Saul Singer, the co-author of “Start-up Nation” from Israel which has been producing innovative technologies and investing aggressively into young entrepreneurs.

In the Keynote speech, we will approach the secret of Israeli’s success in developing into an innovation center of the world. In panel discussions, we invite the unique leaders in the Japanese business community as well as Japanese government officials responsible for creating innovation-friendly environment in Japan as the panelists. They will discuss on how to create such environment and build an economic system to encourage entrepreneurs in order that Japan can succeed in becoming the most innovation-friendly country in the world.

Mr. Saul Singer

He is the co-author of the international best-seller “START-UP NATION”. Before moving to Israel in 1994, he served for ten years as an adviser to different Members of Congress and on the staffs of the House Foreign Affairs. He is a former Editorial Page Editor and columnist at the Jerusalem Post and covers a range of activities through research institutions, trust fund and NGO etc.
