-What is See-D?

See-D Contest is a Japan-based business plan competition with the focus on appropriate technology. Appropriate technology products are those that are made “appropriate” to the existing cultural, economic, environmental, and social conditions. See-D aspires to help create and disseminate technologies that can transform people’s lives in the underserved market through the competition.

This year’s contest theme is “product co-creation between developed and developing nations”. Contest participants visited East Timor to find ideas to solve local life issues. In the final presentation, they are giving presentations their ideas with East Timor experiences in Sokairo hall. In conference rooms, you can see their product prototypes. You can see first contest exhibition and talk to winners also.
