On April 16, the Briefing Meeting “Research and Lectures on Water by His Imperial Highness Crown Prince of Japan-Viewing Video Lecture and Briefing on His Water Activities” was held at GRIPS. This meeting, co-organized by the Secretariat of High-level Experts and Leaders Panel on Water and Disasters (HELP) and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), was to provide the heads of diplomatic community with an opportunity to know his academic works and thoughts on water that have been nurtured over decades.

On the day of the meeting, approximately 70 people, including ambassadors and other officials from the embassies of various countries, viewed the video lecture by His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince at the 3rd United Nations Special Thematic Session on Water and Disasters (held in the UN Headquarters in 2017), and then listened to a briefing by Professor Kenzo Hiroki from GRIPS.
