Through the kind support of ITO EN Co., Ltd., we held “Tea time with ITO EN—Japanese traditional tea culture workshops” twice, in August 2018 and January 2019. That workshop is part of ITO EN’s program, “Activities to raise awareness of Japanese tea culture in foreign languages,” certified as a beyond2020 program,* and aiming to spread Japanese tea culture around the world. After a systematic presentation of Japanese tea by corporate staff and a demonstration of how to make delicious tea, participants made their own tea and spent some time enjoying its flavor.

It was a valuable opportunity to experience the tea of ITO EN, a leading beverage manufacturer in Japan, and to gain some insights into the efforts of Japanese companies.
