Two-year Master's Program of Public Policy (MP2) (How to Apply)

Scholarships:

a) Asian Development Bank - Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP)
b) Embassy of Japan (Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship) *Please apply for GRIPS after the primary screening at the Embassy of Japan in your country.
c) Applicants supported with any other scholarship and self-financed

b) Please contact the Embassy of Japan in your country. If you passed the primary screening at the Embassy of Japan in your country, please click here.

Note: Please make sure to obtain ID and Password for online application by submitting the Entry Form no later than May 5, 2012.

Target Groups:

a) For ADB-JSP scholarships: at least two years of work experience in the public or private sector.
b) For Embassy of Japan (Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship): government officials and senior students who are planning careers as government officials.
c) Pre-and early-career officials and staff members in local or national governments, international organizations and private companies.

Age Limit:

a) For ADB-JSP scholarships: under 36 years of age as of April 1, 2012
b) For Embassy of Japan (Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship): under 35 years of age as of April 1, 2012

English Language Requirements:

TOEFL score: iBT 79 (PBT 550)
IELTS score: 6.0

1. TOEFL or IELTS original score report
*Test scores are valid for two years from the test date. (GRIPS TOEFL institution code is. 9040, a photocopy is not acceptable.)

2. Official documents that certify applicant's undergraduate/graduate education was conducted in English.
*An official document issued by the educational institute you attended is required.

Eligible Countries:

a) For ADB-JSP scholarships: citizens of the developing countries that are borrowing members of the Asian Development Bank.
b) For Embassy of Japan (Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship): citizens of those countries with which Japan has established diplomatic relations.
