Researchers attached to universities or other institutions engaged in development related research.
Under 35 years old as of April 1, 2010
TOEFL score: iBT 79 (CBT 213, PBT 550)
IELTS score: 6.5
Bangladesh, Cambodia, People's Republic of China, Cote d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Lao P.D.R., Madagascar, Malaysia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Otherwise outstanding candidates with insufficient English language proficiency (but minimum TOEFL score 550; CBT 213 or IELTS band 6.5) may be accepted on the condition that they successfully complete the Intensive English Program (IEP) from July-August, prior to the start of the coursework in October. In addition, all students are required to enroll in an Introductory Mathematics/Economics course to be offered in September.
